KiwiSaver Road Map

Deposit or settlement? Two routes up the same mountain.

Your KiwiSaver can go towards your deposit or be kept for settlement day. Answer two questions to find your route, then follow it step by step, from the first email to your provider to the keys in your hand, including the one step that can't be done online.

10–15 working daysfor your provider to release the funds: up to 10 if you've only worked in NZ, up to 15 if you've worked overseas.
Wet ink onlyThe withdrawal form includes a statutory declaration. It can't be e-signed and must be witnessed in person.
$1,000 staysAt least $1,000 has to stay in your KiwiSaver account, so budget with that in mind.
